I was raised by a self-sacrificing stay at home mom, who did amazing things for us but didn’t really do a lot of things for herself outside of the home. When I became a mother I really believed that this was the sure way to be the best mom possible for my children, as they deserved nothing but the very best. This is how I started out on my career as a mom. For the first two years of each child’s life I dove deep into their care and balancing that with the care of my other children as well. In order to accomplish this I sacrificed most everything relating to me as an individual.
I dove so deep that by two in the afternoon I couldn’t be sure if I had brushed my teeth that morning, but I knew every detail of each child’s actions that day and could recite it on demand.
Their every need was met by me in the fastest amount of time as possible. I made homemade everything for them, even going to the farm to pick the ingredients myself to be sure that they had the best. My children had regular play dates and terrific birthday parties with a different theme each year. I helped in their classrooms on a weekly basis, I went on every school trip with them. I wasn’t what they call now a “helicopter parent” but I was involved in every aspect of their lives in one way or another. Now, there is nothing wrong with any of that, but what happened for me is that in order to accomplish all of those things I completely lost myself along the way. I happily put everything and everyone else first, not leaving any time to care for myself.

I have spoken to a great deal of my clients about this very idea of there being really only one way to be a great mom. Many of these moms were also juggling a job outside of the home and feeling completely guilty that they weren’t being a good mom. As women, this is what society demands of us from the moment that we bring this new life into the world. At that very moment, we as individuals cease to exist or matter in the world anymore, outside of our duties of parenthood.
What I began to uncover through my experience with The Modern Mystery School is that my life purpose is more then being a parent. Parenthood is a key piece for me, an important part of my mission here on earth, but it is not all that I am here to do. This understanding was huge for me, to be given permission and encouraged to rediscover who I am and why am I here on earth. Am I only here to be someone’s mother or is there more for me to learn about myself and my purpose?
This started for me with the Life Activation where my energy structure was rebalanced and I was reconnected with my higher self. That began a process of rediscovery for me, a reawakening of who I was before I became a parent and I began to see a glimpse of who I was meant to grow into as well. I followed that with the Empower Thyself class and initiation into the lineage of King Salomon. With all of the tools and knowledge that I received from this program my eyes were open to more possibility for myself then I knew was possible.
This is also when I began to realize how I was limiting my children’s understanding of their future potential in life. By showing them that I was only one thing, I was showing them that they had to choose only one path for themselves as well.

Since that time, I have transformed my life and focused my purpose. Serving myself in this way has truly supported me in becoming a whole person again and that has done wonders for my relationship with my children as well.
It’s never too late to own your life purpose, we are meant to be multi-dimensional beings. You do not have to choose one path for yourself and then let go of all of your other dreams, you can have it all if that is your desire.
